The Free CDL Double Triple Trailer Endorsement Practice Tests developed by CDL Digest each contain 20 multiple choice questions to help you pass the actual CDL Doubles and Triples Endorsement Test on the first attempt. You must have a score of 80% (16 out of 20 questions) or better to pass. This test is required for any driver that will be operating a (Group A) commercial motor vehicle (CMV) with two or three trailers.

This endorsement can only be added to a Class “A” commercial driver’s license (CDL).

INFORMATION COVERED ON THE PRACTICE TESTS:

Each Free Practice Test covers knowledge of the five (5) areas all commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers towing two or three trailers must have as required by Federal Regulation (49 CFR 383.115) as follows:

49 CFR 383.115(a): Procedures for Assembly and Hookup of Double and Triple Bottom Units

49 CFR 383.115(b): Proper Placement of the Heaviest Trailer in the Combination

49 CFR 383.115(c): Handling and Stability Characteristics, including, Off-Tracking, Steering Response, Sensory Feedback, Braking, Oscillatory Sway, Rollover in Steady Turns, and Yaw Stability in Steady Turns

49 CFR 383.115(d): Problems in Traffic Operations

49 CFR 383.115(e): Operating Practices and Procedures not Otherwise Specified
