The Free CDL Tank Vehicle Endorsement Practice Tests developed by CDL Digest each contain 20 multiple choice questions to help you pass the actual CDL Tanker Endorsement Test on the first attempt. You must have a score of 80% (16 out of 20 questions) or better to pass. This test is required for any driver that will be operating a tank commercial motor vehicle (CMV), based on the gallons of liquids or liquified gases and the configuration of the tank as defined in 49 CFR 383.5.

This endorsement can be added to a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) or commercial driver’s license (CDL).

The source material used by CDL Digest to develop these practice test questions is very technical. It may be necessary for you to take the Practice Tests several times to make sure you have a thorough understanding of all the material before taking the actual CDL Tanker Endorsement Test at your State Driver Licensing Agency.
